Amelia is not only a talented instructor, she has the rare gift of assessing instantly the ability of the rider and teaching to the top of that ability and of the riders expectation. If a student simply wants to ride well for pleasure she does not try to turn them into an event rider - although she can do that too.
She has transformed the riding skills of the growing group of girls who come to ride my ponies. These are not riding school ponies who are use to doing little else than give lessons - and they can be very quirky but, she makes the absolute most of them. Best of all her lessons are fun, with much praise and encouragement when things go well and no shouting when they don't. In short, she is a star!

Amelia worked at Wimbledon Village Stables for several years.
She always had a professional approach to her job; she was an excellent riding instructor and she got on well with all our riders – adults and children alike.
She is a skilled and accomplished rider and is always able to get the best from any horse.
Her friendly personality and easy going nature meant that she was a very popular member of our team and our clients enjoyed the way she encouraged and supported their riding.

Amelia has been teaching my teenage daughters for a couple of years, coaching them on a regular basis for all the disciplines, and exercising the horses during the winter months. The girls’ riding skills have progressed in leaps and bounds, and they are now competing at unaffiliated ODE’s and local competitions. She has been there for us on so many occasions when we needed help and guidance – from keeping us all calm at our first competition, to advice on saddle fittings, back problems, trailer troubles and general health and well-being of the horses. To know that she is keeping an eye on us gives us total peace of mind – Amelia is an invaluable element of our equine ‘kit’!

My daughter Chloe is 12 years old and has been enjoying lessons with Amelia for almost a year. The progress she has made during this time has been brilliant. Amelia always ensures that Chloe enjoys her riding lessons, she is patient, encouraging and calm. Amelia is an excellant teacher and uses a wealth of different ways to demonstrate what she wants Chloe to learn. Chloe has really grown in confidence and skill and this is all down to Amelia.

I have been having lessons with Amelia since bringing my mare, Ockie, to uni with me last year. We have focused on flatwork exercises making her dressage more consistent which in turn improves her natural jumping ability. This has helped us produce more consistent clear rounds at BSJA competitions during the holidays. During term time we are unable to compete but this has been made bearable by having regular lessons and progressing with our goals.

Amelia teaches my horse Minska and me on the flat and jumping. She is considerate but challenges us, which is what we need to progress. I compete mostly at unaffiliated novice dressage and Amelia always takes a close interest in how it goes, giving us lots of tips before and ideas for improvement after. Minska enjoys her lessons as much as I do and always seems pleased to see her.
